HELPING STUDENTS REMEMBER WORKSHOP
With DR. Milton Dehn
Dr. Milton Dehn, Ed.D. is an internationally recognized expert on psychological processing assessment, working memory, and children’s long-term memory problems. Dr. Dehn is the author of Essentials of Working Memory Assessment and Intervention, Helping Students Remember, and Essentials of Processing Assessment, Second Edition. After working as a school psychologist and training school psychology graduate students for many years, Dr. Dehn is now a private practice school psychologist and the program director for Schoolhouse Tutoring®, an agency in La Crosse, WI that provides assessment, consultation, and tutoring for children with learning and memory disabilities.

- Learn research-based working memory and long-term memory strategies
Evidence-Based Memory Interventions that Improve Academic Learning and Performance
After a brief review of the neuropsychology of memory, working memory training exercises, working memory strategies, and long-term memory strategies and mnemonics will be presented. Details and directions will be provided, along with modeling and practice by participants. Methods that can be applied to individual students and classroom-wide will be shared. Strategies for developing metamemory will also be included.
